STEMA has initiated social oriented activities supporting groups in need.


In the context of social responsibility STEMA donated wheelchairs and mattresses to Obra Don Orion, a accommodation centre for children with special needs. Of the 36 children cared for in the Obra Don Orione, 6 are orphans of father and mother and most of the children found on the street after abandoned by their relatives.

Throughout the year the STEMA supported sports and cultural projects with emphasis on the following:


1° de Maio Sport Club

STEMA supported the 1° de Maio Sports Club football season in 2014, regarding the acquisition of equipment for registration of the Club, athletes and officials in the City's Football Association, payment of the registration, helping to ensure logistics in the preparation of games of Seniors and Youth teams. 

Chess Academy

Introduction of a massification Pilot Project for chess practice in primary schools of the 1st degree nationwide, aimed at creating motivation to use chess as a means of improving the quality of education, taking into consideration the fact that chess it is an educational sport and it helps in the development of other curriculum subjects.

Ministry of Culture

Support to the Culture Festival held in the City of Inhambane. The support was the purchase of clothing to be distributed by the delegations attending the event.
